Thursday, September 13th, 2007

Alot of the country has a real estate market that hs taken a big hit. Many markets have taken a 50% cut in values in the last 18 months. The Murfreesboro Real Esate market has held up very well because we have many folks moving here form all over the country. The Murfreesboro Real Estate market has stable growth of 4% to 6% growth.  The average sales price is approx. $170,000 and we have many positive flow rental properties that are available for sale.  MTSU is here with 23,0000 students that must have some palce to a call home for the 4 to 5 years while they are in school here. The Murfreesboro Real Esate market also has the 1 million plus homes that are available for sale, and every price range in between.  The quality of life and the enjoyment of all the seasons play a big part of the reason why the Murfreesboro Real Estate market is so good.

Home inspector or not

Friday, September 7th, 2007

Almost all my clients that are selling and or buying a home ask the the same question. Do I need to have a home inspection? The answer is yes. A home inspector that is licensed by the state can find out if all the systems are in working order.  With the average home in Murfreesboro costing around $200,000 the home inspection is a must even when purchasing a new construction home.  Home inspectors usually cost less than $500.00 and what if you did not have the inspection done and you puchase that home and find out the foundation has a crack or the HVAC system is not working properly and cost you thousands. My experience has been that a home inspection is a small price to pay to make sure you are getting a working and fuctional home.
